WDF520PADM6 Whirlpool Dishwasher - Instructions

1. Open dishwasher door, to access the screws holding dishwasher to cabinet.... remove these screws.
2. May need to shut water off and unscrew water line and waste line (if they aren't long enough because you will need to pull dishwasher out.
3. Unplug electricity
4. Pull dishwasher all the way out... probably need to disconnect the water and waste lines
5. crescent wrench to unscrew the plastic screws in back
6. Disconnect two wires going to element
7. Replace element... reverse steps
8. Not too bad at all
9. Part Select is Awesome !!!!

Replaced the pump.That wasn't the problem --- if I had it to start over, I'd pull the drain hoses and run the dishwasher to see what water is flowing where. I had a clogged drain --- and maybe something else. Still working through the details.

removed unit from cabinet disconnected water and drain lines replaced heater very easy to do it took more time to remove unit from under counter than replace heater piece of cake..

Our dishwasher's top rack would pull too far out which made it hard to stay in alignment. It had lost it's track stop. I easily ordered the part from PartSelect, and it came more quickly than I expected; I clicked it in place and it runs like new. It's wonderful to deal with a company that knows the frustration of not having your appliance in good working orfer.

followed directions, a kid could have done it,

Remove upper rack slide rail end cap and remove broken bracket. I used a butter knife to pry the end cap off. The bracket was already broke. so it came right out of the slide assembly
I installed the new upper rack wheel assembly into the slide assembly, and re-attached the wheel bracket to the upper dish rack assembly.
I looked at the other side for comparison to make sure I was doing it right. Everything went smoothly & all parts snapped into place like they's suppose too. "And just like that, I was done, and the dishwasher was fixed." :=) easy peasy.. If you have a computer to bring up the illustrations for reference it helps but is not necessary. The other side is also a good reference... Put them repair guys out of business.

The new lower rack came with wheels, but there were some other plastic parts I needed to move from the old rack to the new. No tools necessary! Use the old rack as a reference to make sure you put the wheels on the correct sides.

My dishwasher wasn't completing cycles and would start to smell like burning plastic randomly. I determined it wasn't coming from inside the tub but underneath the unit. I replaced the drain pump and the drain hose as a precaution to make sure the check valve inside wasn't getting stuck closed forcing the pump to not be able to drain. It was a very easy repair that just involved taking the dishwasher out of the cabinet and turning it on its side. The old pump just twists out and the new one goes in just as easy no tools required. The video instructions on the product page here were very helpful. The hose connects with a clamp and is routed on the side with some plastic clips. It was very easy and completely solved the problem!

It was a matter of sliding the back of the basket on to the attached knobs on the dishwasher door.

Remove and replace by hand, no tools required

New one snapped right into place.

I watched a quick video and replaced it in less than 5 minutes. Video suggested removing the rack.....but I didn't even need to do that.

Unscrew top filter, pry off bottom filter, replace with two new filters

I watched the video supplied by PartSelect at time of purchase. The video was perfect. The installation couldn't be easier. The part arrived just in time. We had a family dinner that night. Dishwasher was back up and working again in 7 minutes.
