Door counterbalance cable broken
Remove two screws on retainer clips holding dishwasher to counter and pulled out dishwasher. Slide new nylon cord mounting clip into slot where old part is located, rethread the cord around pulleys and attach end to spring. Need pliers to pull and stretch spring. This was the hardest part of the job but not very difficult. Push dishwasher back into counter and replace the two screws into the hold down clips under counter top. Whole job took 20 minutes.

Counterbalance spring link broken
I removed the 2 screws that held the dishwasher under the counter. Pulled the dishwasher out and easily replaced the replacement link. I slid the dishwasher back under the counter and replaced the 2 screws. Everything now works as it should

One side of the door balance link broke.
One side of the door balancer broke. I pulled out the dishwasher and made a really strong one out of wire rope and clamps. 2 weeks later it broke again, so I ordered the link kit. I received it in a couple of days. But when I pulled out the dishwasher to replace my broken part I discovered that the original part on the other side broke. I put one of the new parts on the broken side and left my part on the other. I want to see which one lasts the longest.

Door balance cabke failed and the door comes down with a crash!
After ordering the door balance kit I viewed the helpful repair video courtesty of Parts Direct. When the parts arrived I jumped right in, drained and unhooked the water feed line and removed the floor plate, carefully pulled out the dishwasher and began on one side. This gives the other side undisturbed for a guide. After the failed side was complete I moved to the left side and then just reversed my earlier process. I did recheck the water line to be sure it was not leaking. It went well; I finished in an hour from start to finish.

String broke on dishwasher door.
We followed the directions on your video and it was fixed in 45 minutes. That includes pulling out the dishwasher and replacing the parts on both sides of the door. The parts were received in less than 3 days. Would recommend this company to friends and family.

Door lift springs didn't work
The "cable", which is actually nylon had broken. The kit had two sets of cables and new pulleys, one for each side. I simply pulled out the dishwasher, unscrewed the single pulley mounting screws and then reused them to screw in the new pulleys. The hardest part was pulling the springs to have enough slack to attach the cables. The best method involved a vice-grip pliers holding an "s" hook. The "s" hook grabbed the springs, I pulled on the pliers and then had someone assist to keep the dishwasher from sliding forward. Then cable attachment was easy and quick.

One day I was emptying the dishwasher and I heard a loud snap and the door would stay up and would just drop real hard.
I ordered the part, and received it in about 2 days. Great delivery. Opened up the package and watched the video. I didn't have a nut driver, so it took me a bit longer to do with a plier. I was thrilled to have done it myself as a repair man had quoted $170 to fix it!!!! I did it myself for around $25. Made my day..............no, it really made my week. I'm an Female over 60!! Husband doesn't do any repairs. Loved the video too, it made it really easy. If I had a nutdriver it would have been done in around a half hour.

broken nylon cord door hinge.
The part came pronto. The actual repair was fairly easy, but pulling the dishwasher out it is another story. I replaced the water supply copper pipe by a flexible braided hose. It looks like this is a common problem for these dishwashers.

door counterbalance broke
The online video showed me all I needed to know in order to complete the repair. Ordering the parts was as easy as could be and the person whom I spoke to was helpful and friendly. The parts were sent quickly and received the next day. The actual repair was completed in 15 minutes... the hardest part was pulling out the dishwasher and once pulled, the repairs were completed quickly and easily. Saved over $150 by doing it myself. Thanks Partselect for making this an easy do it yourself repair.

Door became instantly very heavy.
Having replaced one side before, I knew what to do. The whole unit has to come forward a few inches. Kill the power, but do not disconnect any lines or hoses. Both my ceramic floor tile, and counter edge are in the way. The edge I can pry off; then I can lift the front legs up onto the tile and slide out a bit to find and replace the broken line. Probably one side is still intact and can serve as a pattern for the other. The spring has to hook to the rear frame, and be pulled quite hard to reattach. I bent a clothes hanger to shape and pulled while my friend hooked the new piece to the door. Pushed back, replaced bottom plate, and reinstalled counter trim. Good as new!

Door would not work properly, it fell open
The part sent was differen in appearance than the original. After calling I was told it would work, and it did. It took 2 people to move the dishwasher out from counter since the levelor,s were a little rusty and it had to be lifted to spray the wd 40 on the screws before we could raise them to pull dishwasher out. We used directions and easily replaced the string pull. After checking the unbroken one we noticed it to was begining to wear out, so we replaced it as well. Good thing their was a pair of replacements. The repair was perfect and I was very pleased with the support.

Broken door counterbalance
Done as with the video (which is much appreciated). Stretching the spring was rather difficult with our machine. A spring puller would have helped.
