66513962K014 Kenmore Dishwasher - Instructions

Got all the parts but no installation instructions. Saw the comment about youtube,, reviewed that and everything when together great.

I am an 84 year-old woman so I asked another woman friend to help me. We removed both shelves from interior of dishwasher then unscrewed the first screw of the slim plastic piece on the top of the interior; then the second screw. We pulled the plastic piece gently down, removed the little round part out of the groove. We placed the new round part in the groove (ball down), pushed the spinner onto it so it would click on & hold. That required a bit of strength. Replaced screws & it was done!

Parts came with instructions however I just searched the part #on you tube and found a video of someone doing the repair. That made it super easy. Took me only about 20 min for the whole job and I am not a very “handy” guy. So glad I didn’t pay someone to come out to do this. Easy repair! In a nutshell you completely remove the old housing and wheel structure and replace it all with the new parts so when taking off the old parts don’t worry about breaking them.

The parts seemed more sturdy than the originals that broke, so I hope this will be a better design. The instructions were adequate for installation and the adapter for the screws was supplied with the parts. The most difficult part was removing the old broken rack adjusters since there was no instruction for that.

I ordered this thinking I would probably need more parts, but was unsure which ones. When the part arrived I immediately noticed that it was not identical to the original part, but looked like it may work. I also received an instruction book that I did not expect. The first side probably took 15 or more minutes. The second side was installed in just a couple minutes. The toughest part was removing the old pieces.

Just took the top rack out - set it on a wide flat surface - and removed the old parts and put in the new....since the pictures to follow were a little faded, it took a minute to figure out which direction things went...after that, it was fairly quick and easy.

CALLED PARTS SELECT AND THEY SENT A LINK TO A WONDERFUL VIDEO. VERY VERY HELPFUL. THIS COMPANY WAS VERY NICE TO DEAL WITH. ALSO WAS ABLE TO ORDER PART LATE SAT. EVENING WHICH WAS GREAT.

Nomenclature of parts were not named with a drawing, Photos of instructions were very dark and unable to ascertain which was which , they were worthless. It took me 20 minutes to figure out where the new parts belonged. Keep in mind the new parts were different than the old parts. A simple sketch would have helped a lot.

Attached new link, then stretched the spring with pliers and routed link over the pulley. Replaced both links.

Laid all the parts out after removing the old adjusting units off of the top rack. I figured out how the new parts went together and attached them to the rack and replaced the rack in the dishwasher. The instructions that came with the new adjuster kit were not much help they were hard to understand and the pictures weren’t very good easier to figure it out on my own. Hope this helps

I ordered part PS10064063, metal left and right rack adjusters that should be more durable than the plastic parts that broke. To install, I watched this YouTube video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=otUn8eoceBw), pausing and rewinding as needed. Piece of cake! FYI, when the axle broke, the small little plastic prongs stopped the grinder, which caused the dishwasher not to cycle. Fortunately, that was repaired under extended warranty, but the rack wheel was not covered. The repairman said the grinder (in most dishwashers these days) is a very delicate blade. They can't really grind much - even tiny plastic pieces.

The manual that came along was confusing and was bit frustrating. I did not know how to remove the old parts. Then I viewed the video on YouTube. It was a lifesaver. I would recommend to viewers this video and it was like a piece of cake It took not more than 15 minutes including watching the video.

I looked at the position of the remaining Tine Pivot, since there are four on this dishwasher upper rack, and positioned the replacement pivot and pressed it into place. It was a snap (excuse the pun!). NOTE: My dishwasher's Model Number was not in the list provided herein. I had to search a couple of models to find the Upper Rack that looked like ours and to find the Tine Pivot replacement part that looked like ours.That process took longer than the "repair".
