Dishwasher wouldn't drain after washing cycle
We went to the Part Select site and described the problem and they recommended a new piston and nut assembly and even provided a video on the installation. The only difficulty was removing the old piston and nut assembly which was corroded and broke off during removal. Once it was out installing the new part was very easy. And best of all the dishwasher completely drains. We had an estimate of $150 for a repair house call which would probably have resulted in another house call to actually install the part. With Part Select we received the part the next day, spent only about $18 and fixed the dishwasher in 24 hours--what a great experience!

Pool of water at the bottom of the dishwasher after the cycle is complete
It is so easy and simple! Just removed the old part ( Piston and nut assembly), which is at the back of the dishwasher(inside, behind the spray arm and the heating coil) with bare hands. It needs a little push and turn , just like you removing a old stuck nut. One you remove the old nut assembly, replace it with new one. Just hand tightened is enough. Ran the dishwasher and voila...it works like a new one. No more water collection at the bottom! All it took is 10 mins + 12 dollar part + 7 dollar shipping.

Bought a manufactured home
with a dishwasher. Someone had 'packed' the silverware basket and there wasn't one in my dishwasher! Ordered one from here, when it arrived, opened the box, opened the dishwasher and placed it in the correct place. Closed dishwasher - DONE!

Old rinse aid fill cap broke off at base
I removed the broken stub of the old fill cap with a screw remover. This was the only part that wasn't easy. The new cap fit fine.

Dishwasher would not drain.
I cleaned all the drains in the dishwasher and the drain in the garbage disposal that leads from the dishwasher. I also removed the piston and nut assembly and tried cleaning it but the dishwasher still did not drain. I was using a wet vac to empty the standing water after the cycle completed. I bought the new piston and nut assembly. It arrived in 24 hours. I unscrewed the 4 screws in the back of the dishwasher that held the screen that covered the assembly, used my hand to unscrew the piston and nut assembly, screwed in the new part and replaced the screen and 4 screws. It completely fixed the problem.
