Dishwasher was not draining.
The dishwasher would drain correctly 3 out of 4 times and the original part did not appear to be in bad shape. Decided to change anyway based on posted success rate in resolving the issue and the low cost of the part. After one month of daily operation the issue has been completely resolved. Could not have been any easier!

Lower rack had rusted through in several areas.
Pulled out the old and rolled in the replacement. The easiest part of the repair was ordering from the PartSelect website and receiving it via FedEx Ground the next day. Thank you PartSelect. Even my husband could have been successful with this.

Pool of water at the bottom of the dishwasher after the cycle is complete
It is so easy and simple! Just removed the old part ( Piston and nut assembly), which is at the back of the dishwasher(inside, behind the spray arm and the heating coil) with bare hands. It needs a little push and turn , just like you removing a old stuck nut. One you remove the old nut assembly, replace it with new one. Just hand tightened is enough. Ran the dishwasher and voila...it works like a new one. No more water collection at the bottom! All it took is 10 mins + 12 dollar part + 7 dollar shipping.

Old rinse aid fill cap broke off at base
I removed the broken stub of the old fill cap with a screw remover. This was the only part that wasn't easy. The new cap fit fine.

Bought a manufactured home
with a dishwasher. Someone had 'packed' the silverware basket and there wasn't one in my dishwasher! Ordered one from here, when it arrived, opened the box, opened the dishwasher and placed it in the correct place. Closed dishwasher - DONE!

Food particles left on dishes after every wash... Piston and Nut Assembly was completely worn out (disolved) and leaking dirty water back into the rack area instead of draining it.
Unscrewed 4 screws from the back, bottom of the rack area which hold the cover. Twist out the old Piston and Nut which is threaded to fit securely (needed some elbow grease to get the old one out). Twist the new part in and place the cover back in place with the 4 screws. Done. Dishwasher works like it was brand new. Cleanest dishes in the country... ;)

I was very disappointed in the in-the-door silverware basket most dishwashers are equipped with today and longed for the ones that have been phased out.
I went to PartSelect online and easily found an exact duplicate of my old basket at a reasonable price. I ordered it, expecting delivery in about 3 - 5 days. It was on my doorstep 2 days after the order was placed. I opened the dishwasher door, set it in the place of my choice, and what a timesaver! Try it! You'll like it!
