Soap dish full of west soap, dishes not clean: Isolated to stripped pump shaft, foreign object jammed chopper
Troubleshooting: Noted soap dispenser full of apparently wetted soap, drying cycle dried to brick-like mess. Dishes full of soap particles, not clean. Water through floor and basement ceiling.
Pulled all racks (note arrows on ends of rack supports), used vice grips to remove bottom spray arm (better to use washcloth around little knob to protect from vice grips), unscrewed all torx fasteners to get assembly out. Had to carefully maneuver pump housing out since it attached to water distribution assy. Found stripped sleeve, but didn't understand function until I saw similar post on this site (Thanks!). Ordered seal and chopper kit, paid extra for "2 day" delivery and rx the next week due to holiday weekend (what's up with that? I ordered a linksys security camera on saturday and rx on Sunday from "Lasership"). Followed included instructions - worked fine. Note assembly order of pump with respect to water distribution assembly - I assembled and dissassembled twice due to forgetting interference.

easy repair. The foam has to go over some wires but if you stretch it alittle as you place it all goes well

Redeco kitchen black to stainless
1. Removed door inside plastic panel, 2. Removed additional screws holding panel to hinge brackets and control panel, 3. Figured out that this would all have been easier if I'd unhooked door hinge springs first (access from sides), 4. Removed isulation from old panel and reglued to new panel, 5 Reassembled, hooking up door springs last. Voila!

Dishwasher Arm Not Spinning
I removed flowplate assembly, chopper assembly, found that the plastic spindle was stripped causing arm not to spin. In the new seal kit, the spindle was made of metal (much better design). I replaced the spindle, chopper, and filter assembly (old one was caked full of gunk). Worked like a charm. A previous post helped me figure out the problem.

bottom of silverware basket broke
received new basket without a basket handle; had to remove handle from old basket & attach it to new basket; took 2 separate tries to remove old handle & each try took about an hour; used screwdriver & pliers but had to be careful not to break handle; eventually used dimes to pry open & hold the attached sections of the handle open in order to free the handle from the old basket; we sure hope the new basket lasts a lot longer than the 2 years that the old basket lasted before it broke.

The dishwasher was not pumping out the water.
First I shut off the water and electricity to the dishwasher. I removed the screws holding it in the cabinet and pulled the dishwasher out. Disconnect the water line and turn the unit face down on the floor. I disconnected the wire harness by pulling it out. It was a little hard to pull out. Then I removed the screws holding the pump in place, then removed the pump. I inserted the new pump and replaced the screws, and the wire harness. Then stand the unit upright, reconnect the water line (use teflon tape to prevent water leakage), put the dishwasher back in the cabinet, and restore power and water. Then you're done. It would have been very simple if I had used teflon tape the first time. I had a leak the first time I reconnected the unit and had to take it out again and apply the teflon tape. After that, everything was fine. The dishwasher works great.

Dishwasher door would not open. Handle appeared broken.
PartSelect web-page for this model listed the handle as the most often ordered part. It arrived the next day after the order. It was necessary to remove about a dozen Torx screws to remove the back from the door. The power was turned off at the breaker. Two electrical fittings were removed from the broken handle and placed on the new one, and the part was put into position and the door back screws reinserted. I was fortunate to have the appropriate Torx driver and suggest that PartSelect offer such an unusual tool with the part.

door will not open
Luckily the door opened one last time. Remove torx screws on the inside. Spread panel open to gain access to handle. Removed handle because it's already loose from removing torx screws for panel. Electrical wire connectors were extremely tight. Used pliers to remove connections there are 2.
Reverse procedure for installation.

Cable broke
Removed two screws at the top of the base washer. Three screws removed down both sides of the base washer. Lifted washer out enough to see the cable and spring connections. Removed cable and replaced with new and re-connected. Slid washer back into position and installed screws.

Unable to open dishwasher broken latch
Went to the hardware store and bought a T-20 torx tip and then unscrewed the plastic on the inside of the door, unplugged the dishwasher and replaced the latch assembly. This is an electrical part and it is essential to disconnect the power. I would never buy this dishwasher again. The latch is not something that should break.

Broken latch prevented door from closing properly.
First, I had to purchase a small socket set that had the piece needed to remove the screws from the inside panel of the dishwasher. I didn't cost much. After removing the screws, I disconnected the old door latch/handle, but had to leave the old leads in place because I couldn't remove them. I replaced the old latch/handle with the new one, replaced the inside panel, and tried it out. The new latch/handle worked great. The replacement time was under 20 minutes (struggling with the old leads). Very happy with the outcome, though.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Dishwasher would not turn on because door would not latch
I removed the screws from the inside of the dishwasher door and removed the handle. You have to unplug the handle from the door assembly. When I got the new part I plugged in the two plugs, aligned the cover of the door and replaced the screws. It works great and it was super easy!
