How to Fix a Control Board for a Washer That Has Spinning Issues
The electronic control board allows you to control your washer. If your washer won’t spin, the board may be faulty. You can tell the board is the issue if you are unable to turn the washer on or to select options on your washer. You may also notice some burning or arcing on the control board.
Due to the complexity of the components of an electronic control board, we recommend that you have a trained technician inspect and diagnose any issue.
What is an Electronic Control Board?
Some washing machines have an electronic control system for selecting the settings instead of a mechanical control with knobs. With an electronic control board, you push different buttons to select the wash cycle settings you require for your laundry. Typically, there are lights that illuminate to indicate which setting has been selected.
Where is the Electronic Control Board Located?
Depending on your model, the electronic control board will be either at the top back or at the top front of your washer.
