Agitator stopped working
Follow the videos and it's easy to do the repair. Spent more time cleaning the appliance than it took to do the repair, (shredded rubber from large washer part of the motor coupling and many years of dust). My only suggestion would be to turn down the front legs (feet) so it's easier to get the cabinet body under the front steel spreader piece of the cabinet frame. Also, breaking off the plastic tabs under the thrust spacer, as suggested in video, will prevent them from getting in the way when you reassemble the parts. First attempt one folded under the thrust spacer and prevented it from seating properly. A socket extension is a must to remove/install agitator bolt.

Basket would not spin, top of agitator would not move
I am a single woman and have learned to do simple repairs. After finding out that it would cost me $150+ just to have a repairman come in, I checked to see if I could do the repair myself. I came across this site. After looking at the repair video, I felt I could do it. I spent about $14.50 on the parts. I read one review that said you did not have to lay the machine on it's back to do the repair. Since the hot & cold water tubes were too firmly fixed for me to remove, I did the repair upright with the tubes in place. I did turn the water supply off. If working from the floor is not for you, lay the machine down on it's back, especially for replacing the motor & the coupling. I followed the video instructions and had no problem until I removed the motor. It was heavier than it looked. Luckily, I had a small block of wood the right height to it rest it on. After removing the old coupling & replacing it with the new one, it took me a little time to line up the coupling and replace the motor because the machine was upright. If you are not going to lay the machine down, have someone assist you with the motor or have something to prop the motor on that will keep it in line while you are reattaching it. It is heavy. Forgot to replace the hex nuts, but according to the video, they are optional, used for shipping. The thrust spacer was just as easy as shown in the video and took no time at all. The machine works fine and I now have the nickname "Ms. Maytag". Thanks !

First I went on line to this site and selected the troubleshooting guide to determined what was wrong and then watched the video on how to repair. Ordered the parts and---the rest was easy!! Saved myself many dollars by doing it myself. You will need a screwdriver to remove the softener dispenser and a 10mm socket on a 12 inch extension and a ratchet, simple.----Thanks again
