washer cold water valve would occasionally stick open during final rinse cycle. error code fe01. Decided to replace both hot and cold valves and replace hoses at the same time since all were original.
Step 1. Turned off water valves, unplugged machine. Disconnected hoses and drained remaining water.
Step 2. Removed rear plate from top control panel.
Step 3. Tilted control panel forward to unhook from washer lid in order to access valves extending up from bottom section. Removed valve retaining plate from washer lid. Online videos showed models with front controls, however our model has the control panel integrated with the water vales on the top back of the machine.
Step 4. Removed all wiring harnesses. Since cold valve had 4 harnesses, marked each with location.
Step 5. Used pliers to move hose clamps off of old valves.
Step 6. Marked each hose with masking tape and valve location since cold valve uses 4 hoses. Wiggled hoses off valves.
Step 7. Installed new valves, reattached hoses and wiring harnesses. Inserted valves into retaining plate and reattached to washer. Replaced top control panel module on top of washer.
Step 8. Replaced washer hoses using teflon tape at fill valve box.
Step 9. Restored water and checked for leaks. Returned washer into location. Had to tighten hot water connection slightly. Plugged in and ran quick cycle to test.

water kept entering the washing machine when sitting idle.
I used you tube videos and followed directions exactly. It was very easy to do even on a 6 yr old machine.

Washer was leaking at the bottom
I actually looked on you tube for the type of washer and the issue. I checked all the areas the various videos showed me. The last one I checked was the inlet valves. All that is needed is a Phillips head and a wrench. Took the top off. Unplugged the washer. Unplugged the hoses. Unscrewed the valves and removed the hoses and the circuit pieces. Replaced one at a time. Everything worked perfect. Hooked hoses back up. No more leaks. Attached the top back and pushed back into place. No more leaking.

Washing machine would randomly refill with water after completeing a cycle
I called Sears Home Central for an "emergency" repair. I was told a repairman would be sent 6 days later (a Saturday) within a time window of 8am to 5pm (seriously?!?). I did my research on the web and youtube, diagnosed the problem, then ordered the parts. I've never before paid for overnight shipping (before 10am delivery) but decided to do so in this "emergency" situation. The parts arrived on time and after reviewing the youtube video a second time had the washer running again in less than 30 minutes. The total of the parts and shipping was less than the service call would have been -AND that's before the labor and parts charges...IF the repairman would have had the correct parts with him. These looked to be OEM parts. I'm VERY satisfied and have this site . bookmarked on my computer for future reference! How I did the repair... I could reinvent the wheel but you should watch the video instead shopped around for the parts and this site seemed the best fit for my needs, thanks guys!

Water leaking from the washer
Water leaking from washer. Replaced washer on hot water side and partly correct the problem. Went to this site and they had the washer had a 42% chance it was the hot water inlet valve. I ordered s replacement valve on Friday and got an email saying the part was shipped that day. I sort of thought it might get to me by Monday, I got the part Saturday. Got the part and the job was completed under 30 minutes including moving it out and returning it to original place, moving being the hard part. Suspect the problem was the gasket inside the water inlet valve. Not sure where I would have found the correct gasket.

LG Washer was displaying the FE code.
I found the instructions for the repair on a YouTube video and decided to attempt it myself. I saved $250.00 to $300.00 by doing this simple repair myself. I bought the parts from this site. I took the top off the washer (2 screws) and removed the screws holding the Inlet valves. (I took a photo of the associated hoses and electric connectors just in case). Installed the new parts and put the top back on. Done. The parts price was so reasonable I decided to replace the hot and cold water inlet valves to be safe although I only needed the cold water valve. It took me longer to clean the lint and debris behind the washer than to do the repair. The parts were a perfect fit and arrived before the promised delivery date. I am a happy camper and will definitely order from this site if I need to do another repair.
