If your freezer has stopped making ice cubes, it may be time to replace your ice maker. Normal wear and tear, or accidental damage may be the cause of this. Please note that this kit does not include the cover, ice level arm, or the wire harness. These parts can be ordered separately, or you can use the existing parts from the original ice maker. This Replacement Ice Maker is a genuine OEM part and is also known as an Ice Maker Assembly or a Refrigerator Ice Maker. Very noisy whenever the fan came on.
Watched several online videos. Removed the fan blade, then the motor still attached to the motor mount so I could see what I was doing to attach the new motor to the motor mount. Then reinstalled the whole assembly, plugged in it's wires with the supplied adapter and attached the new fan blade.

PUMP
Fix Number FIX16730541
Manufacturer Part Number W11566405
Used with stand-alone ice cube makers.
Installation Instructions
Robert from China Grove, NC
No ice
Board diagnostics stop at Cir pump. Replaced circulation pump. Made half of one cycle of ice. Stopped. Replaced control board. Problem solved. But, set thermosensor too low on bin wall. Made one cycle of ice and stopped. Set thermosensor higher on bin wall, just above the front threshold of the bin, now all is working great. Control circuit board swap was easy except for the 2 rear screws that hold the control panel case to the bin. The holes for these screws are not visible without a mirror and are tricky to start.

Ice maker stopped working
After watching some repair videos on YouTube of my model ,I found out what things can cause the issue .so I started to test parts .Mine was the mold thermostat that is housed inside the ice maker itself. Used a ohmmeter to test for continuity which there was none and replaced it .. Now it works perfect..I have no background in appliance repair but you tube and and this site saved me a lot of money

Light went out in my 24 year old Whirlpool refrigerator
First of all I ONLY had the parts SENT to Wm. In Santa. Barbara because I live in Alaska and you charged a ridiculous amount to send the parts to ME! The OTHER thing is that I'm his 70 year old sister and I replaced both the swithch AND the lightbulb socket myself. Your online video was very helpful and I did NOT have to refer back to once I viewed it. It was an easy job and now my ANCIENT 24 year old refridge will PROBABLY last a lot longer than I WAnt it too! THANKS, Annette in Alaska

Replace Fill cup
Sadly, although it appears you could just snap the fill cup into the groove on the tray, this is not the case. You must remove and disassemble the ice tray assembly to replace this small part. Luckily, this is not terribly difficult. Here are the steps: 1-Remove hex-screw on bottom of ice tray assembly, and loosen two screws on top. 2-Lift assembly off top screws to remove from side of freezer. 3-Unplug power cord. 4-Unsnap front cover on front of unit. 5-Remove ice make motor by removing the screws on front of the unit. 6-Remove Motor Housing by removing the tow recessed screws toward the bottom. 7-Now the ejector arm should be free. Slide it forward from the groove in the ice tray. 8-Remove old fill cup from ejector arm, and slide new fill cup onto it. 9-Reassemble ice tray assembly reversing the steps above.

The water inlet valve is a solenoid-operated switch located at the bottom of the refrigerator. When it is energized by electrical power, water is released from the supply line through the water valve and into the compact icemaker mold.
***Please NOTE: This part has been redesigned and may appear different than the original. It has a new quick connection. To install: cut the retaining nut off the existing water line and gently push into new valve. To remove: depress the ring that the tube slides into.

Replace a leaking, ice maker water valve.
Repair was a bit difficult mostly in try to figure how to orient the new ice maker water valve. The real plus in using this kit was the number of extra mounting parts provided in addition to providing addition parts in connecting the water inflow and outflow lines.
