Brew basket assembly lost the spring that allows the pause and pour feature to operate.

I wish there were directions to share and make me look brilliant, but seriously all I did was unwrap the part, wash it with warm soapy water, and rinse it. I was making coffee within less than five minutes.

This is an OEM removeable brew basket for a coffee machine, and it is sold individually. The brew basket is also commonly referred to as a filter basket, is made of durable plastic, and is what holds the filter in place inside the coffee machine. Lift the brew basket lid and lift out the filter basket to replace it. The brew basket is designed to fit either the provided permanent filter (sold separately), or a 10-12 cup paper basket-style filter (also sold separately). It is important to keep this part clean because if it gets clogged it can impede water flow. It is safe to wash in the dishwasher, on the top rack only, or by hand.

This is a genuine OEM replacement part, it is sold individually. The Brew Basket is where the filter and coffee are placed in the Coffee Maker models shown below. The lid of the carafe activates the valve on the bottom of the Brew Basket. When the carafe is removed the valve will close so none of the coffee will be spilled. Once the carafe is replaced the valve will open then the coffee will start flowing into the carafe again.
