The refrigerator handle on my Refrigerator cracked
The repair was very easy. I purchased a socket set from Home Depot for $5 to tighten the set screw at the bottom of the handle. Extremely easy to install. I did it in about 5 minutes once I figured out what size from the socket set to use.

The door handle broke at the top.
It took about 15 minutes to repair with a screw drive and an allan wrench. It took 3 days to get the part and the best part was I ordered it on a Sunday. I recommend this company to every one that would have a problem. Give them a chance first before calling a service tech. You might save a lot of money by doing it your self.

Handle broke apart at top of door.
Removed two screws from top of door and handle with Phillips screwdriver. Save these for installation of new handle. Then removed set screw at bottom of handle on the side with #27 torx driver. Installed new handle.

Handle doen't fit conture of door properly !!!
Placed the new handle where the old (broken) one had been. Held so it could be finished at the bottom by the 2 scares at the top (non included at the extremely high price).! Had to position the bottom before the top, but could not tighten the internal Allen Screw until top was held close to where it would be when screws were tightened. I, unsuccessfully. used my full left shoulder and all body weight to try to force the handle to conform to the rounded shape of the door. It would only bend "so far" - not enough for a correct fit at the bottom. I gave up and tightened the lower Allen Screw. There isa small gap where the handle meets the doo4r at the handle bottom. Dirt will collect! The original fit correctly, but barely lasted 1.5 years! A poorly designed Refrigerator (temps V tough to control - shelves spaced so reaching the contents is very difficult - so noisy we can't converse when near it running - original handle was plastic junk). Replacement may not be exact fit. I can't tell. It is part number provided. Next time I will insist on buying the appliance on closeout! If we have to put up with junk, we might as well get it as cheaply as possible !!!!!
