The evaporator is found in the back of the freezer. This kit comes with two mounting grommets, two sleeves (not to be used on porcelain models), two #8 mounting screws, and a push-on fan blade. Freezer circulation fan inoperative
Removed 2 Phillips retainer screws from back panel. Removed back panel exposing fan and retaining panel. Removed 4 screws with nut driver and tilted out assembly. Unplugged fan elec. lugs, removed 2 more screws and removed/replaced fan assembly. Reinstalled elec. lugs. and reassembled fan assembly. Set in place. Carefully installed new plastic fan blade, a simple push on. Plugged in refrig to test new fan. Reinstalled back panel, and then racks.

old fan made buzzing & whooping noises
Removed the back of the freezer to get to fan. Removed old fan. Put in new fan. Biggest problem was that ground connection on new fan is over an inch farther away and refrigerator wire would not reach. Cut the ground wire and spliced in about two inches of other 18 gauge wire and capped with wire nuts.

Evapororator fan noise
I removed the access panel in the frezzer, removed the fan housing cover, removed the evaporator fan motor (2 screws) To install the new unit I just did everything in reverse. it fit like the skin on a grape. Thank you!! the noise was driving me crazy!!

removed old one and installed new one supplied by this site and fit perfect as there parts always do.

Fan motor making noise
Removed the cover in front of fan motor ( 5 screws), then removed 2 screws holding fan motor, unplugged wiring, replaced fan motor and re-assembled. Very easy

ground wire to short
cut off end of ground wire. Put on a new fastener. Drilled hole in mounting bracket and installed ground wire with a sheet metal screw.

circulator fan located in the freezer was making a grinding noise and would stop working
