Fridge User Interface panel started beeping and showing error 5y CF/CE then fridge stopped. I unplugged it waited 10 min and plugged back in and same thing happed so I ordered a Replacement User Interface Panel (reconditioned) for $200 and it fixed problem for around 30 days. (but I heard the clicking sound more loudly than before) so not sure if the failing Original User interface panel possibly overworked the Main Power board.
Then Fridge started doing it again (turning off/on with clicking and same error 5y CF/CE then fridge stopped.
This time after I unplugged / plugged there was a clicking / popping noise coming from the Main circuit board (located under the fridge) were it kept trying to power up (click with lights trying to come on) then would fail to power on and do this cycle for 5 to 10 times before stopping and presenting the 5y CF/CE Error on panel. SO.... Do you think that the Main Power Board has failed and this replacement will fix Fridge to get it operational again ??

Hello Keith, thank you for reaching out. The SY CF error code relates to a communication issue between the control board and the user interface panel. As the clicking noise is coming from the main control board, it certainly seems to be the culprit. We recommend that you replace the main control board, part number FIX3419824. Also, we suggest that you only use new and genuine OEM parts, as reconditioned parts are prone to damage. Please reach out to customer service if you need help placing an order. Glad to be of help!
