Wheel Protector

This is an authentic replacement wheel tire for Wilton and Jet band saws. It is supplied directly from original equipment manufacturer and it is sold individually. Its purpose is to provide a stable grip for the saw blade. When attaching the new tire on a band saw wheel, it may appear too be too small, however it really is not. These tires when new are typically approximately two (2) or more inches shorter than the old tire. Tires are supposed to fit very tightly against the bad saw wheel. As the tire ages, the rubber hardens allowing for the blade to slip. Note, it is a good idea to put the new tire in hot/warm water to heat it up just enough to make it pliable enough to stretch. Its advised to have two people in the stretching process.

The plastic item is fitted on each side of the saw head's support bracket, keeping the blade straight for cutting projects. A pair of pliers and a screwdriver may be helpful for making the repair. Table Insert

This item is a genuine part that has been sourced from the original manufacturer to be used with verticle bandsaws from Wilton and Jet. The durable plastic insert fits into the cap in the table where the blade passes through the table. The insert is used to reduce the gap around the blade in order to better support the material as it is being cut. Inserts wear down from normal use, and will eventually need to be replaced to maintain clean accurate cuts. This part is priced as a single item, please note tools may not be necessary to install the insert.

Ball Bearing
