This authentically sourced replacement carbon brush has a wire lead, brush spring, and bracket attached. This brush is sold individually, however, your tool requires two brushes to operate. If your motor is running poorly, worn brushes are the most common reason. A worn brush usually shows wear near the wire lead and sometimes has cracks or burns. We highly suggest checking the armature for burns at the same time, as this might indicate a more serious issue with your motor.

Intermittent motor operation, a sticking trigger, or failure to start can point to a damaged saw switch, but several nearby components can cause the same symptoms. Check the battery charge, terminals, lockout button, loose wires, and control electronics before ordering a replacement. The switch mounts inside the handle and responds when the operator presses the trigger after releasing the safety lock. Match it to the exact tool model and serial prefix. Remove the battery and cutting blade before service, then note the position of each wire and terminal. Avoid pinched wires during reassembly. Test that the lockout blocks accidental starting and that the motor stops when the trigger is released.
