This is a manufacturer-sourced replacement carbon brush set designed for use with Dremel high-performance rotary tools. Carbon brushes are wear items that naturally degrade over time due to friction, and replacing them is a common and necessary part of tool maintenance. This OEM-quality set ensures a precise fit and reliable operation. Installation is straightforward and requires only a hex key (Allen wrench). To replace the brushes, simply remove the screws holding the tool housing together, separate the two halves, and remove the brush covers. Then, take out the old brushes and springs, install the new brush assemblies, reassemble the housing, and test your tool. Regular replacement of worn brushes helps extend the life of your rotary tool and keeps it running smoothly.

These OEM replacement carbon brushes are sold as a pair and include a coiled spring attached. These brush and spring assemblies are what deliver power to a rotary tool armature. The spring transfers power and helps to secure the brush tightly in place. These brushes are in constant contact with the armature, which causes them to wear over time, and is the reason you should also inspect the armature regularly as well. If the tool is overloaded this can also cause the springs to burn. When performing this repair, be careful not to over-tighten the brush caps because they can crack.
