Primer-carburetor

This is an OEM primer bulb and clip. It is attached to the engine air filter base. When the primer bulb is pushed, this fills the carburetor with fuel, making it easier to start a cold engine. This rubber primer bulb is known to harden and crack over time. For this repair you will start by removing the motor cover, air filter cover, air filter, and then the primer base. You will then use a screwdriver to release the clip holding the primer bulb in place. To install the new primer bulb, place the new clip so the ears are facing out, and then line the ears up with the openings on the base. You will then use your screwdriver to help snap it into place.

A carburetor controls how much fuel and air reach a portable generators engine. Varnish, corrosion, a sticking float, or a worn needle can make the engine hunt, run unevenly, stop under load, or refuse to start. A complete replacement assembly may be useful when cleaning and basic service do not correct the fault. Compare the mounting pattern, throttle and choke linkages, fuel connection, and full engine code before ordering. New mounting gaskets may need to be purchased separately. Shut off the fuel, disconnect the battery and spark plug, and label every connection. After installation, check for leaks and confirm stable speed and output under the recommended test load.

Genuine OEM replacement primer bulb for engines with a pulsa prime carburetor. This part is sold individually. It includes the Rubber Bulb and the Plastic Collar to attach it. A primer sends gas into the carburetor so it can create a fuel and air mixture that is ready to go right into the cylinder and keep the engine running. Over time a primer bulb can dry out and crack. If the bulb is damaged it will not create suction and will not function as needed, therefore it will need to be replaced.

Genuine Briggs and Stratton replacement part, it includes the Diaphragm and Diaphragm Gasket. The purpose of the Diaphragm is to draw out fuel into the engine. The diaphragm is forced inward by ambient air pressure. The diaphragm is connected to the needle valve and as it moves inward it opens the needle valve to admit more fuel, this replenishes the fuel as it is consumed. As fuel is replenished the diaphragm moves out due to fuel pressure and a small spring, closing the needle valve. Most manufactures will have rebuild kits that contain new Diaphragms in them.
