Broken sprocket and retainer bracket

So, I was unable to repair my planner because I made the mistake of ordering the replacement parts from fix.com. One of the parts (the "retainer") was a "special order" part and fix.com was unable to provide a time frame for the part. Reluctantly I placed the order and waited...and waited. Finally I received an email that advised my parts had shipped and were on the way, but no tracking information was available. The email stated parts would arrive in 3-6 days... on the 7th day I called fix.com and the representative said that it would be more like 10 days. So I waited longer... then on the 10th day, I received this email that asked me to share how I fixed my problem, but I couldn't fix my planner because I never received any parts, tracking information or other support from fix.com..... So now I will be ordering from www.ereplacemnetparts.com and I suggest you do the same... thanks for nothing fix.com Read more...
