This carbon brush is used on a variety of cordless tools and appliances. *Please note: This part is sold individually. Carbon brushes are commonly replaced because they wear out easily with friction. If your brush is worn out it can cause disruption in the functioning of the motor and reduce electric braking. If you notice cracks, burns and other damage on wire lead, then it is best to replace it to restore the motor and its functions. Refer to the manual provided by the manufacturer for further installation instructions.

This is a carbon brush, it is also known as a motor brush, and it is used with various power tools and equipment. The brush transfers electric currents to the motor. Your motor brush is an extremely common replacement part. It is considered a wear part, because the constant friction will wear it down. If you are experiencing a poor running motor, you will need to replace this part. New brushes will restore your motors electric braking. We recommend also inspecting your armature for damaging cracks or burns, this can indicate a larger problem in your motor that will require attention.

This part includes one carbon brush with spring. Two of these brushes are needed in most models, and we recommend replacing them both at the same time, as they tend to wear at the same rate. A worn brush often affects the performance of the motor, and that is usually the first indication that a replacement is needed. For this repair, you will need to use a screwdriver to remove the brush cap which holds the brushes in place. To install, align the new brush with the holder and insert it by aligning the wings with the sides of the holder. Press the brush into the holder and secure the cap back on. Never over-tighten the cap, as this could break it. These steps will need to be repeated on the other side for the second brush.

This is an OEM carbon brush, sold individually. Your tool will require two of these, so please be sure to order what you need. It is best practice to replace both carbon brushes at the same time, even if only one appears worn. Worn brushes are a common reason for a malfunctioning motor, so it is important to inspect them regularly and replace them when needed. When you are inspecting the carbon brushes look for wear near the wire lead. If there are burns, this could be an indication that something is also wrong with the armature, so it should be checked as well.

This is an OEM chuck key and it is sold individually. The chuck key fits into a hole on the side of the chuck. The teeth are what help to hold the adjusting ring. As you rotate the key, the adjusting ring turns to tightly engage with the drill bit. This chuck key tightens jaws that have a 1/2-inch capacity. Over time, the teeth can deteriorate and this can cause the gear to slip. To make it easier to keep track of the chuck key, a chuck key holder can be ordered separately. It attaches to the power cord and the chuck key can be attached to it.

This part includes one brush spring for a power tool. This OEM part is compatible with multiple tool-types. The brush spring is responsible for providing tension on the brush against the armature. It works with the brush and brush retaining screw, which are sold separately and should be checked for deterioration as well. Your tool has two of these springs, however they are sold independently. If the brush spring has lost its springiness, it will require replacement. To access the spring, remove the brush holder cap with a flat blade screwdriver, and then remove the spring.
