Can this part stop mower from moving?

Hi Sandy, thank you for asking us. According to our research, this short spring switch is used to return your mower to peak performance levels after normal use. The Interlock switch, part number FIX10004634, is used to stop the mower by stopping the engine when the control bar on the handle is released, and by stopping the ignition coil from sparking. It also has a brake pad to slow the flywheel. If the interlock switch isn't working, the ignition coil won't spark the spark plug, and the lawn mower won't start. We hope this information is useful!
