The right side of the mowing deck was dragging the ground.
I identified the area and compared it to the opposite side which still had the cotter pin and place. The cotter pin on the right side had been lost in the mowing process. I used pliers to attach the new pin and all is well! Super glad to find a website that carries all parts for my dad's mower. This part includes one hex flange nut that is compatible with various outdoor equipment. It has a thread of 5/8-18 and consists of a hex nut with a wide flange on one end. The flange works like a washer to ensure the nut fastens to the components surface proportionately. If it has been removed when doing repairs or taking components apart, it should be replaced, and never re-used. All the nuts on your equipment should be inspected and tightened at least annually. To remove this hex flange nut, you will need a 15/16-inch socket. The torque spec for this nut is 70-90 ft-lbs.
