Remove eight bolts and two skid shoes and bottom sheave plate. Replace in reverse order.

The right side of the mowing deck was dragging the ground.

I identified the area and compared it to the opposite side which still had the cotter pin and place. The cotter pin on the right side had been lost in the mowing process. I used pliers to attach the new pin and all is well! Super glad to find a website that carries all parts for my dad's mower. Original Manufacturer Approved replacement Spindle Assembly 6.3 Diameter used on Lawn Tractors/Mowers. Includes Housing, Shaft assembly, Bearing, Pulley and nut. The mounting holes on the Mandrel are not threaded. But the bolts that are used to secure the mandrel to the deck are self tapping. The Mandrel shaft goes thru the deck and the pulleys are attached to them, then the belt that drives the mandrels is placed in the pulleys.
