This is a genuine OEM replacement part sourced directly from DeLonghi. This water reservoir tank is commonly used in dehumidifier. All of the moisture being removed from the air has to go somewhere, which is why dehumidifiers have water tanks. The tank collects water that the dehumidifier is pulling from the air. When the tank is full the dehumidifier will stop running, and it will need to be emptied. This tank slight right into the front of your dehumidifier. The water tank is made of plastic, and it is sold individually.

Power surge took out the control board. Even though the board is protected by a fuse, a surge will take out the adjacent capacitor every time.

The challenge to this repair is removing the back panel and refitting it without damaging the plastic tabs that hold it together. I always take a hi-def picture of the wire connections before I remove the damaged board. Once the board was replaced, the dehumidifier went back to work. If you've never worked with electronic cables before, be sure to use needle nose pliers to remove and seat the connectors.

Once you have it apart, its a good time to remove dust and debris from the cabinet and evaporator coils.

The DeLonghi version of this Danby dehumidifier is a top shelf product, and is definitely worth the cost of the board. Read more...
