An air tool that responds poorly when its trigger is pressed or released may have wear inside the throttle assembly. This replacement steel spring works with the throttle ball to support proper airflow control. Correct spring tension helps the throttle pieces move as designed, but the ball, seat, plunger, seals, and trigger should also be inspected. Clean the area and replace any damaged pieces found during service. Shut off the compressor supply, disconnect the air line, and press the trigger to release trapped pressure. Work over a clean surface so small pieces are not lost, and use the exploded parts diagram to confirm their order and direction.
