A pneumatic hammer that runs poorly or responds unevenly may have damage inside its throttle system. This replacement ball works with the spring and seat to help control the compressed air entering the tool. Check the ball for wear, rust, dirt, or surface damage. Also inspect the seat, plunger, seals, and spring because replacing only one piece may not correct the problem. Shut off the air supply and disconnect the hose before service. Press the trigger to release trapped pressure and remove the working bit. Take apart the handle over a clean tray, keep the small pieces in order, and use the tool diagram during reassembly.
