my generator is only putting out 107 v on each leg I don't see a AVR so I guess the capacitor is going out

Thank you for your question. If your generator is running on a low voltage, the capacitor is one part you will need to check. There are some other parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. You will need to check the alternator, the stator, the automatic voltage regulator and the circuit breaker. We have included a link that you may reference on how to check these parts. Generator gives low voltage signal and shuts down after 3 or 4 minutes
The starter appears to pirodically arch on the bottom side. Do you think a new starter will fix my low voltage shutdown??

Hi Roger,
Thank you for your question. If the generator starts and then stops after a few minutes, there may be air in the fuel line and it will need to be purged. Also check and make sure there is enough fuel for it to work. Sometimes, if the carburetor or fuel filters are clogged the generator will shut down after a few minutes.
