This part is both the start relay and the overload. The start relay boosts the compressor, and then shuts off as soon as the motor gets up to speed and the overload provides extra protection against excessive temperatures.

Compressor not running
Removed start relay (controller) and run capacitor. Cut two wires leading to the controller and splice to new plug assembly. Plug in, replace spring clip and plug in. Total time should not take more then 10 minutes
