7 inch PTO idler pulley engagement plate assembly bolt sheared off inside frame.
1 Loosened plate above plate assembly to get loose spacer out. 4 screws 1/2 inch Took out 2 on one side to pull down slightly on plate to grab loose spacer with fingers. Could have used magnetic tool also.
2. Pulled gas tank out to get to piece of bolt that was sheared off and nut.
3. Cleaned sludge off of old parts. Put new 7 inch bolt (book says screw) through washer, pulley, shoulder spacer, and other parts.
4. Put the assembled parts through engagement plate assembly. Added washer, and spacers.
5. Put assembled parts through hole in frame plate while adding last spacer.
6. Wrapped duct tape around pulley and head of 7 inch bolt to keep bolt from falling out.
7. Used bungee cords to hold assembled parts up to hole in floorboard where bolt comes up through.
8. From top of frame floorboard under the gas tank location, gently started installing the 9/16 nut onto the top of the 7 inch bolt.
9. Once the screw was started enough to hold everything together in place, wedged a 9/16 closed wrench on to the nut so it wouldn't fall off.
10. Went underneath and pulled the duct tape, and bungee cords off the pulley and tightened the the 7 inch bolt further, with a 9/16 socket and ratchet. Also put the 2 screws back in the plate from step 1, and tightened other side 2 screws. Finished tightening 7 inch bolt.
