Freezer Door Gasket - Black

I changed the door gaskets for both compartments. Each gasket was distorted when unpacked. There was one online suggestion of placing the gaskets in a bath tub of warm water. Make certain the inside and outside flaps of the gasket lay flat against the door for maximum sealing. (4) Install plug and start the refrigerator. Note: I read an online comment to check and clear vent holes at the bottom side of each door. This is on the bottom of the door, not easily visible. You must use a mirror and flashlight to see the vents. I noticed and removed shipping packing from three of six openings. I don't understand their purpose, but it made a noticeable improvement.
