Product Description

If your dryer will not start, the timer will not advance, or it shuts off too soon, there may be an issue with the dryer timer. If your timer needs to be replaced, this is a genuine OEM part. Please note that the knob to set the timer is sold separately, be careful not to damage yours when removing the knob to install the new timer. Before beginning this repair, please be sure to disconnect the power supply to your dryer. You will need to pull it out far enough from the wall in order to access the back panel. Before removing the wires, it may help to take a photo first, so that they can be attached to the proper terminal on the new timer. The timer is held in place on the control panel with two metal hooks locking into two plastic tabs. Carefully rotate the timer counterclockwise to remove, and clockwise to install the new timer into place.

Timer was OK. The knob had stripped/plastic split.
No repair required. Just had to install the knob. The original knob did not have a metal ring inside. This has been a problem in the past, manufacturers relying on just plastic to survive years of use. The addition of the metal ring was all it took to provide a knob of everlasting (or maybe many years!) usefulness. Thanks for your promp t delivery of the part. I find your parts much cheaper than the manufacturer's and your service superb. Really appreciate. Now, I need to return the timer. Will follow the instructions and get it back to you pronto. William

Timer knob kept breaking.
First I unplugged the dryer. Then I removed the top back cover. The timer knob stem was worn out. I replaced the heat setting timer. I just transfered the wires from the old to the new timer one wire at a time. Removed the old timer and put the new one in the old timers spot. Put on the new knob. Closed up the back. Plugged the dryer bac k in. Set the new timer knob and yay it works perfect. Saved some money. So proud of myself. I encourage more women to tackle this. It was a snap. The part was here very quickly. Was impressed.

dryer would start running when button pushed, but quit when released.
Replaced timer assembly, as per DX on site, DID NOT repair running problem. Door switched checked OK, looks like more disassembly required.

Unscrewed back of control panel. Pulled off front timer knob. Turned old timer in counter clockwise motion and it came away from frame. Took wires off one at a time and replaced with corresponding wire from new timer one at a time. Replaced new timer with clockwise insert. Re fastened control panel back, and put timer knob back on. J ob done.

Timer would not advance.
This was very easy. I just unplugged the dryer. Took the cover off the back. Then took the timer out and unhooked one wire at a time and attached each one on the new timer. Then simply put the new timer in and reattached the back cover. Plugged the dryer back in and started using it. This was a very simple repair that only required a scre wdriver to perform the repair.

Knob cracked then we stopped the timer shaft using pikers to run dryer.
Turn off breaker to the dryer to avoid electrical shock. Remove wires from timer and slip out old timer. Careful twist out the old timer making sure you don't break the plastic housing that holds the timer on the dryer. Replace with new timer, hook up wires and add new timer knob. The the order arrived very quickly (3 days after placing the order)! The customer service rep was very kind, knowledgable, and very professional. I would start buying all of my appliance parts from this site, if I were you. They are top notch.
