Broken latch
The old latch broke and got pushed in when I was trying to remove it. I just pushed the new one into the existing hole.

The plastic part that catches the latch piece fell into the dryer housing.
Simply pushed the new plastic piece into place.

door catch broke
since the catch was damaged from the latch ( misaligned door ) I was able to use the needle nose pliers to hold the catch while using the small screw driver to manipulate the retainer** the metal clips on the catch ** (left side -push it to the right and pull out with the needle nose --- then for the right side -push retainer to the left and remove. ( normal instruction is to remove the complete front of dryer ) Once removed the new one just pushes into place until it snaps

1) Interior light not alluminating 2) basket edges broken off and catching/ruining clothing,
door latch broken requiring a ratchet trap to keep closed throughout drying cycle 1) unplug machine, easily open door of light assembly by just pushing in on barbed catch holding it, complete light assembly comes out at an angle, remove 2 wires attached with blade connectors behind bulb and reattach to new assembly making certain wire con nectors stay in same configuration (mark if necessary), reinstall at same angle as removal and reattach door. 2) new basket simply slides in place of old one. 3) Use pliers and small screwdriver (gently) to remove door catch w/o bending surrounding sheet metal on catch opening. Press new catch into retangular hole in door -voila!

Door on dryer wouldn't latch.
Before watching the repair video I probably would have removed the entire dryer door to complete this repair, or not attempted it. However, the video showed that this was an extremely easy repair. It took less than five minutes. Just follow the video instructions. I must say this company has come to my aid more than once for which I am very grateful. Too, the part was received 14 hours after being ordered. Remarkable!

Door latch just disappeared after grandchildren were there!
Just inserted the latch in the hole where it was previously. It just snapped in place.
