The gasket on the inside of one of the French doors had torn and was tearing more as time went by
This is just as about as easy as it gets. The gaskets are held in by a projection from the rubber gasket going into a slot all around the door. Just pull the old gasket out and work the fat part of the new gasket into the slot in the door. Notice that there is a very small, almost unnoticeable flange on two corners of the new gasket. Be sure that the corners of the gasket are positioned on the two corners opposite the hinges. Otherwise, the gasket won't fit properly the the door won't close. No tools needed, just your hands and a bit of patience to work the new gasket into the slot on the 'fridge.
