Product Description

This part is located behind the control panel. It helps determine the level of water in the washer. As the water fills the hose, while tub is filling, it will push the air against a diaphragm inside the switch. More water that enters the tub, more pressure is applied against the switch.

WASHER OVER FLOWING AT ANY SETTING
I WATCHED A VIDEO ON HOW TO TAKE THE FRONT AND SIDE PANEL OFF A UPRIGHT WASHING MACHINE FROM PARTSELECT.COM AND THEN HOW TO REPLACE A WATER PRESSURE SWITCH AND NEW PRESSURE HOSE. THE INSTALLATION ONLY REQUIRED TWO SCREW DRIVERS AND A PAIR OF SCISSORS TO CUT THE PRESSURE HOSE TO LENGTH THE SAME AS THE ONE REPLACED.SHUT THE WATER OFF AND U NHOCK THE HOSES AND UNPLUG THEN TWO SCREWS BEHIND THE MAIN TOP PANEL LEFT AND RIGHT SIDE. THE MAIN PANEL THEN FLIPS BACK. THEN WITH A FLAT SCREW DRIVER RELEASE THE TWO METAL SPRING BANDS ON LEFT AND RIGHT SIDE TOP. THE FRONT AND SIDES PANEL ALL TOGETHER LIFT OFF.NOW YOU CAN REPLACE WATER PRESSURE SWITCH AND PRESSURE HOSE. PUT BACK TOGETHER IN REVERSE AND HOOK UP WATER LINES AND PLUG IN TOOK ALL TOGETHER 30 TO 45 MINS.

Washer would not fill past a low level no matter the postion of switch
Ordered Water Level Switch which came with a section of hose so I did not need the bag of hose that I ordered as well as switch. Popped off corner pieces on sides of control panel. Removed a small phillips screw on each side holding control panel to top of washer. Removed two phillips screws holding rear metal plate near top to back of switch panel. Tilted control panel ahead and removed hose from old switch. Pulled knob off front. Turned switch approx 1/8 to 1/4 turn counter clockwise to release switch from panel. Reversed to install new. Replaced clear hose and connected to switch. Reinstalled previously removed knob, screws and trim pieces. All done, Yea works!
