Washer wouldn't spin
Just attached the capacitor and put cover back on machine. Easiest repair ever. Also the quickest delivery of part. Wonderful experience.

acrid smoke produced during filling
unplug the washer, remove the front. Disconnect the capacitor electrical connections, Remove the ties to reuse or cut the part free. Install the new part and cable tie in place, reconnect wires, replace washer front, test.
