The broil element in my top oven stopped heating. After 40 years this didn't surprise me.
I hope you can laugh at how "I" did the repair. I grabbed my neighbor the cop & said "fix my oven". He came over with his entourage of people to ooh & aah at it his expertise. It took 3 people to locate the correct breaker to turn off the electricity to the oven. Then he used a nut driver to loosen the bolts (or whatever they're called) t hat was holding the element up in place at the top of the oven. He used the nut driver to loosen the 'bolts' that secured the element to the back panel of the oven, & he used pliers, very gently, to loosen the wires behind the element. He slipped the old element off, reattached the wires to the new element & used the nut driver to secure it to the back panel of the oven. Then he reattached the 'bolts' that hold the element up with the nut driver. Lastly, he switched the breaker back on. Voila! My oven works fine! I was so pleased with the customer service & timely delivery of my new element. And I couldn't find a price to beat what I paid!
