Hello Walter, thank you for your question. Yes, the issue could be the Bi Metal Fuse FIX2360984. However, there seems to be an issue with the electronics also so we recommend replacing the Electronic Control Board FIX11748220. We have videos for you to access. If you need help placing an order, customer service is open 7 days a week. Please feel free to give us a call. We look forward to hearing from you.
My dishwasher won't start and I see the highest probability is for the thermal fuse replacement. (I love the feature giving the highest probability %! That is brilliant!)
However, it appears that everyone that had a dishwasher that didn't start, either didn't mention if the lights did or didn't come on or specifically stated that the control panel lights didn't come on.
My control panel lights are working, for whatever cycle I choose, but it simply won't start when I press start.
(Note: it's not on "Control Lock" and the door appears to be completely closed).
- May I suggest that it would help a great deal if the troubleshooting guide could pre-populate such information, as it's found out (Because, it could be so much more helpful if some troubleshooting steps could be eliminated).
As far as I know now, from the given information I read this far, it still could be any of the three I mentioned above.
So, if the thermal fuse is bad, will the lights still come on? If the control panel is bad, will the lights still come on? Any suggestions for what's the new probability of what might be the problem if the lights still come on when it won't start a cycle?

Hello David, Thank you for your inquiry. We appreciate your feedback and will pass that along. The symptom lists are compiled from customer feedback and are designed to provide general information. You can actually test the parts with a multimeter to see which one is causing the issue. If the fuse has failed, however, the control board will not receive any power. To test to see if it is the control panel or control board, disconnect the power from the dishwasher and open the door. Open the console, and disconnect the ribbon connector from the control board. Put the console back together, making sure not to close the door, then recommend the power, wait 5 seconds and then close the door. If the issue is with the control panel, the control board will turn on the drain pump. If the control is not ok, then the drain pump will not come on. We would recommend checking the door switch as it is the more likely cause if the control panel lights are on, but the dishwasher is not starting. We hope this helps and if you need a part in the future and need help placing an order, customer service is open 7 days a week. Please feel free to give us a call. We look forward to hearing from you!

The video is exactly like what you'll see inside. Snip two wires, hook up the new part, close door, turn on machine. SHA ZAM!!!! I have learned how to fix lots of things, and this was one of the easiest ever and saved me $700 for a new dishwasher (and another week of complaining about living in the Stone Age because we don't have a wor

Researched web for most likely cause. Isolated to highest probability part to fix. In my case the thermo coupler. Great video on web site to guide you thru the repair.
With the star bit I was able to remove the six screws holding control panel to the door, by gently removing the control panel I could see a cover over the electronics which was easy to remove, there are just four hooked clips that my small screwdriver could unclip. Next I located the bi-metal fuse and from there followed the wires to the
... Read more harness, untapped and re-taped leaving the fuse wires out. I then cut the fuse wires at about one inch from the fuse, and removed the fuse by using the small screwdriver to unclip the fuse from the plastic frame. I then stripped the wires to the dishwasher about 1/4 inch from the end, twisted the braided wires, and inserted into the wire block, provided on the replacement fuse, matching the wire color or stripe, tightened and checked to make sure the wires were secure. I then clipped the new fuse to the frame and used the zip ties, provided, to attach the wires, either side of the wire block, (within an inch), to the wire harness. I clipped the cover into place and gently worked the control panel back into place and screwed back onto the door, and tested...done!
Dishwasher wouldn't drain or start it now does thank you
This was great, it was even fun and I would gladly use your site to repair any other appliance issues I have. Thank you for your service and help. My Husband was flabergasted that I could actually do this and save us $$$
Checked incoming power to the unit Had power. Removed door and checked bi-metal fuse with ohmmeter. It was open. Ordered new fuse & installed per instructions. Put door back on and worked like a charm. Since this happened the week on Thanksgiving, the pressure was high:)
From you web site I read instructions in how to repair the handle. Removed the six screws that holds the control panel. You need to remove the control panel carefully. There is a seal that is on the door panel. There is a plug that is attached to the control panel. I did not unplug it. I had enough room to remove the old handle and replac
... Read moree it. I also ordered two springs. The old handle only had one. You can put a spring on both sides of the handle. I feel that with two springs the handle is more secure. This site is a very good company to do business with. The parts came very fast. I highly recommend them for all you appliance needs. Thanks again for all the help.
