Wife had dropped a glass pot cover breaking glass top
( No hold down clamps, so I removed the sheet metal strip under range (one screw at each end. Gently pry up glass around the edges 1/8 inch all the way around. Once it is loose, just lift up each end and rest it on some scrap wood pieces so that the entire unit is above the counter top. Then remove only the silver headed screws (phillip s or nut driver) that hold the glass top to the range casing. Then gently pry up the glass (the only thing that may fight you is the adhesive on the metal to glass attachments). Be careful not to cut your selves - the glass is not tempered. Then vacuum out any glass from the opened induction range, and lay the new glass back into position. Install all the screws, and remove the sticks to ease the unit back into place. This time we plan to use clear silicon rubber around the glass to counter crack, which may help it not break if another similar accident occurs. Reinstall the sheet metal strip under the range top. No electrical connections had to be removed.
