Broken electrode head of one burner.
The insulation on the electrode head of one burner was broken and so failed to ignite the burner. The burner head replacement was simple and quick - AFTER I had discovered that the screw attaching the electrode to the burner head was frozen. I originally purchased just the electrode - assuming that I could use the old burner head. After I discovered that I could not release the broken electrode, I purchased a replacement head, which comes with the electrode and does not cost a great deal more than just the electrode. A screwdriver was all that was needed. So, check that you can unscrew all screws before ordering!
