Washer leaked drips came out of the back where hoses connect and from the bottom.
I removed the front and top of the washer. (Thanks for the great videos,!) Injector valve was leaking out the perforated sheath, so I ordered a new one. That did not fix my leak! New one leaked at the same spot. So I went searching on forums and the consensus is that is an unnecessary part. I then removed it and replaced it with a 3/4" p ipe. That fixed the problem; but on running a load through I discovered that the tub gasket was leaking on the spin cycle. Sad ending to this story, I decided to scrap the old Maytag. It was 40 years old and paid for itself many times over.

I had a leak coming out in the back left corner of my washer.
I lifted up the top of the washer and found that the water injector hose and valve were clogged by rust. I have bad pipes and water. As a result the injector part wasn't moving back and forth smoothly. Also, the hose part into the wash tub was very weak and flexible. So I ordered both parts and got the parts within 3 days. I took me abo ut 30 minutes to replace the parts. The hose part was the hardest to put into the hole to the wash tub and it took some effort. I put everything back to together and closed up the washer and started a load of clothes. It worked fine and I noticed that the noise of the water going into the washer was stronger and sounded more normal. Saved myself about $200.00, easy. Thank you.

leaking water
The drain hose was cracked near the tub outlet. Replaced the drain hose (and hose clamps). Easy. 15-minutes; screw driver and socket, It wasn't the injector, though that was easy and probably worth replacing.

Water leak at left side of washer
The web site was great - it helped me pinpoint the part to replace (the injector valve), and the video walked me through the whole process. I may have been able to figure it out myself, but the video made it super easy, and I could do the repair quickly and confidently. Thanks.

Water leaking from the top left side.
Pulled front of washer off by removing two phillips screws at the bottom front. Removing two 3/8 bolts from under the top. Lifted top up and removed the hose closest to the front. Removed the injector valve and replaced with new one. Reversed the above procedure to put washer back into operation. The easiest repair I've done in a long tim e.

Washer was leaking water near the top left of unit.
First, I did research on my Maytag on the site . Then, based on what I learned, I determined it was the injector valve. I then watched the video to change the valve. This solved the leaking problem. However, I didn't install it correctly the first time as the rubber seal around the valve was did not have a good seal with outer tube so it still leaked. Was not sure why it didn't work at first (as I made the mistake to close it all up before testing), but on my second attempt, I removed the outer clamp completely so it was easier to get the valve and rubber fitting inside and it worked!

Water leak onto floor at left of machine.
I read the list of possible sources on this website. Then watched the instructional video on gaining access to the inside of the machine and replacing of the defective part. The part was in stock and arrived in two days and was easily swapped out in about 20 minutes. No problem. I highly recommend this vendor.
