Dryer stopped producing heat
Removed front of dryer, disconnected high-temp thermostat and heating element wires. Removed two screws and metal tab and removed heating element housing. Removed 4 screws and accessed heating element. Removed old heating element, breaking ceramic insulating point. Ordered new insulator. Reassembled. Broke door switch while reinstalling. Ghetto-rigged an external switch because I didn't want to pay more money. Dryer works.

no heat from dryer
Removed the from panel from the dryer unit. Although we replaced the 4 items listed above, the main cause of the problem was the heating element thermal insulator. Upon removing the front panel and inspection we noticed the heating element was cracked/broken, Actually there were two of them, so we reordered another and replaced them bo th. they look like a copper screw with a collar and a ceramic head. Once these were replaced the dryer worked fine.
