Hi, About to order part number 10006917 /FIX12586896 but i have noticed that no screw but metal hooks are holding this part on my dishwasher. Am I at risk of permanently damaging these hooks if trying to bend them for part replacement? Thermador DWHD650GFP/01

Hi Christian, thank you for your inquiry. Yes, this way you are at significant risk of permanently damaging the metal hooks if you try to bend them. You will need to pull the dishwasher a little towards the outside from the cabinet for the lock installation. The door lock assembly is located at the top center of the dishwasher tub assembly, held by a mounting bracket. Use a Philips screwdriver to remove the screws on the bracket to access the lock. Once you remove the screws and bracket, you can remove the old lock and install the new one. Glad to be of help!
