Product Description

This is an authentic LG water inlet valve for a top-load washer. It is designed to control the flow of water into the washer. If your washer is filling slowly, making loud noises, overflowing, or stopping in the middle of a cycle, you may need to replace the water inlet valve. Be sure to disconnect the power and water supply before you begin this repair.

Unplugged it. Took back panel off. Unscrewed valve cover. Unhooked hoses. Replaced inlet valve. Replaced hoses. Replaced cover. Replaced panel

slow fill with cold water
pulled electrical cord plug, turned off both water valves and removed both hoses,remember which is hot and cold, mine had red and blue stripes. remove two phillip screws at the top and rear of control panel and put a towel on top of glass lid,lift panel up and forward and lay on towel to keep from scratching.unhook wires from valves,remov e hoses, and three screws holding the valve on and install valve then reverse procedure and that is all their is to it. my problem was in the metal inlet screen.plastic screen was clear.
