Loud squeaking noise when running
Dryers are simple to work on and most are very similar regardless of brand. For this dryer, 1)pull it out from the wall and disconnect the lint pipe. (take this time to run a snake with a brush throught the dryer exhaust to clean out accumulated lint). 2) With a nut driver or ratchet (7/16th I believe) undo all the screws on the bac k panel (about 10 of them). Set the panel aside. 3) In the lower left corner observed the probable white wheel with the drum belt. This is the tension wheel and is likely the source of the noise. 4) Push the tension lever up to give that belt some slack and unhook the belt. 5) use a flat screw driver to pry the plastic triangular fastener off the axle of the tension wheel. 6) remove the tension wheel and slide the new one on. 7) Replace the triangular fastener with a new one...should just snap in there by pushing it with your fingers. 8) push up on the tension lever and reattach the drum belt making sure the belt is threaded properly. 9) plug the dryer in and see if the squeaking has been fixed. Took me longer to reattach the lint pipe then to replace this wheel.
