This idler pulley is sold independently and includes the pre-installed bearings. It is an exact OEM replacement part for the original. This part is found in walk-behind lawn mowers to supply tension to the drive belt, allowing the belt to turn. For this repair you may require a wrench set to remove the worn idler pulley.

Do you have a picture or detail drawing of how the all wheel drive belt is routed around the pulleys as mine was broken when I removed the cover?

Hello Aaron, thank you for the question. Unfortunately, we do not have the picture with us. We are providing you with some instructions that can help you remove and replace the belt:
1. Empty the fuel tank by running the machine until the tank is empty.
2. Always disconnect the spark plug before performing maintenance or accessing movable parts.
3. Turn the lawn mower on its side. Make sure the air filter and carburetor are facing upward.
4. Remove the drive cover.
5. Remove the blade bolt by turning the bolt counterclockwise. Remove the blade and attach the hardware: bolt, lock washer, and hardened washer.
6. Remove the screw and the pulley.
7. Pull out the belt and thread it over the adapter.
8. Thread the new belt over the adapter and place the belt on the engine pulley.
9. Route the belt over the stripper ring into the hole in the chassis.
10. Reinstall the transmission pulley and place the belt on the pulley.
11. Reinstall the drive cover.
12. Reinstall the blade.
13. Tighten the spark plug.
