Product Description

This is a genuine idler pulley wheel and arm for a dryer. The idler pulley wheel ensures the correct tension is on the drive belt to spin the drum. The arm is what connects to the idler pulley wheel and is located between the drum and the motor. General wear or misuse can cause the idler pulley and idler arm to malfunction and stop working, which can sometimes result in squeaking sounds, a dryer drum that will not spin, or a dryer that will not turn on.

Idler Pulley Worn, Noisey
Moved the dryer to work area. Pulled-up Instructions on YouTube. After watching the video, I took the dryer apart. Once it was disassembled, I used a vacuum to clean the dirt and lint out of the dryer cabinet. This took more time than the actual parts replacement. I also replaced the belts because this was a good time to do it. Nex t time, I'll buy a dryer overhaul kit and replaced the rollers, too. Reassembled the dryer and it's quieter now than it has been in years.
