Water would not dispense from the door, icemaker was fine...
After pulling out the refrigerator from its bay, I turned the water off to the appliance using a valve I had installed originally. The appliance was then unplugged, and using a nut driver, the back panel removed. Using a pliers, the water line was disconnected from the existing inlet valve, and set into a bowl to catch any dribbles. Usi ng the same nut driver, the screws holding the inlet valve were removed. The plugs to the valve were removed and marked. The water lines to the valve use plastic couplers, and can be removed/reattached by hand. Each line was attached to the new valve - use a rag to catch any dribble. The plugs were then shifted over to the new valve. The old bracket didn't fit the new valve, so everything was set back into the cavity. Tension from the water lines and plugs allow the valve to set okay. During water was reconnected to the valve, and the connections were tested for leaks. Once no leaks were found, the power was reconnected to test valve. Initially the dispenser didn't work - air had worked into the line, and since the line goes into the freezer door, I think some of the water froze, blocking the line. After a while, the fresh water melted the blockage, and it started working. After the refrigerator was monitored for a few hours for leaks and to make sure everything worked (ice and water), the unit was pushed back into its bay. So far, several days and no further issues...
