Plastic Latch handle broke - could still open door
1. Since the door is has helper springs you will have to hold the door down while performing the work. 2. Remove (10) torx screws around the inside perimeter of the door. Carefully separate the rear door panel as wiring is connected, rotate the door into a vertical position and stand it up on the back of the door - no need to disconnect any wires. 3. Next remove the two screws with a 1/4 " nut driver, replace the old handle with the new handle and tighten screws. 4. Replace the door and tighten the (10) Torx screws. 5. One additional tip - The new door handle comes without a decal. The handle does have the lettering and logo routed out. I used White Out as paint and filled the openings. Use a damp rag or a mild cleaner to remove the excess white out. Now the handle looks like new! Hope this helps. Total time approx. 15 minutes
