My Gas valve was bad and needed replacing
It was a fairly simple job to do. I unplugged the stove, shut off the gas, pulled out the stove. Then it was simply a matter of disconnecting the wire to the igniter, removine the lower burner, and disconnecting the two wires to the gas valve.I had to remove the 4 mounting screws holding the valve on before I could use my adjustable wrenc h to undo the large gas line. Then I had to remove the adapter from the old valve as the new one didn't have it. Once that was done, I replaced everything in the reverse order. The total job time was a little less than an hour. I'm glad this part was availble for purchase. Saved me about 130.00.
