I had no water to my ice maker or the dispenser on the door
I checked to make sure I had water to the filter head which I did then I removed the filter bypass device and noticed a small amount of water leaking where the filter attaches. From that i figured the filter head itself was bad ordered new one and installed.It is an easy install just go easy on the foam block that seals the unit on the ba ck of the refrigerator the filter head just snaps into the housing one side of the filter head is flat that is the side that goes up into the housing.there are two lines that go through the back of the fridge one attaches to the supply line the other to the dual valve unit.

Water flow was restricted with or without the filter.
First thing is to shut off the water to the ice maker and disconnect the input line from the water. The difficult part of this repair is removing the tube from the flow switch. You have to be very careful not to break the blue fitting that holds the tubing in the valve assembly. I found that if I had 3 hands it w ould go smoothly with only two it was frustrating, especially if the tube had been in there for a long time. You have to push down on the blue fitting and pull up on the tube at the same time. (third hand). Once out it was a snap. The next step is to remove the foam plug around the lines going into the refrigerator. Then pull the head assembly from the supporting brackets and pull the whole assembly out. reinstall using the reverse procedure. When it comes time to replace the supply tube into the valve assembly you'll find it's simply a push until it seats. Word of caution if you find yourself contemplating brute force your doing it wrong. Go back to step one or hire the third hand like I did.
